Dandelion Ridge Farm
Dandelion Ridge Farm was purchased by my grandparents, John and Jean Kinsman in 1954. The farm was a small family dairy for 60+ years, milking approximately 45 cows. The farm also hosted many other animals such as pigs and chickens in the early years. My grandparents were environmental and local food activists, becoming early adopters of the organic movement. In 2015, I purchased the farm I grew up working on and decided to take the farm in a new direction, i.e, raising grass fed beef, pastured pork and eggs. I named the farm Dandelion Ridge in reference to picking dandelions with my grandfather for dandelion wine that he made every summer. The goal of our farm is to produce the very best pastured beef, pork and eggs in an environmentally and humane fashion while protecting the soils and waters of our beautiful area.
